2008 China Life Cycle Management Conference (CLCM 2008) will be held this October 19th – 21st in Chengdu, China, co-organized by Sichuan University and UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative.
Being an important link in the global production and consumption chain, China has been producing enormous products for its 1.3 billion people as well as for global market. However, LCA/LCM research and applications in China are still in the early stage, which indicates that so many life cycles should and would be explored to support the sustainable development of China and the world.
As the very first LCA/LCM conference in China, CLCM 2008 intends to take the initiative to promote and enhance LCA/LCM research and applications in China by disseminating the global experience and displaying the local efforts collectively. It is also a unique opportunity for international and local researchers, industry, intermediaries, NGOs and governmental agencies to meet and build scientific and business networks for closer cooperation in future.
